Hours: 6 hours per day (11:30 A.M. – 6 P.M.), 180 days per year
Hourly Rate: $23.78 to $27.62
This position will begin with the 2021-22 school year.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Site Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and implementing student academic programs, student enrichment activities, family skill building programs, adult education programs, and other content at Kennewick High School and ensuring each program's success.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Must attach unofficial transcript proving AA or equivalent to application. Official transcripts of all levels of education, including high school, required within 30 days of hire.
- Spanish bilingual skills required – must pass the oral and written proficiency exams through the KSD Bilingual Department.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the positions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to meet the physical demand of the position.
- Must pass a basic skills test.
- Completion of Safe Schools Web Based Training within thirty (30) days of hire and yearly thereafter.
- Must complete a background check, which includes employee-paid fingerprinting.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Bachelor's Degree in related field.
- Demonstrate high level of literacy in both written and oral Spanish and English – must pass the oral and written proficiency exams through the KSD Bilingual Department.
- Must have transportation, valid Washington State driver’s license and required liability insurance.
- Experience in coordinating multiple tasks and programs.
- Experience and ability to work effectively with students and adults of all different opinions, backgrounds and life experiences (including race, religious beliefs, socioeconomic status, citizenship status, and sexual orientation).
- Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Kennewick High School administration and staff to coordinate programming, space, and services at their site.
- Develop and implement extended learning opportunities to enhance student and adult learning.
- Coordinate with KSD transportation and public transportation to provide adequate transportation for students.
- Coordinates all events, speakers, cultural programs, enrichment activities, adult learning, and student academic programs at the site.
- Coordinate with YMCA to provide adequate space, materials, and transportation to students.
- Work with KSD food services to set up and distribute snacks in accordance with their policies and guidelines.
- Design a schedule/calendar that includes all the programming, activities, and services that the program provides and communicate with administration, staff and family on an on-going basis.
- Market and promote of the program through various media.
- Maintain comprehensive daily student and participant records and produce timely reports as required.
- Build trusting relationships and collaborate with The Student and Family Support Team, community organizations, staff, students, and families to help identify and align services that reinforce the program's goals.
- Write proposals for supplies, materials and other requests.
- Adhere to site budget.
- Coordinate multiple services to meet the needs of students and families at school sites.
- Be familiar with PowerSchool to be able to get information on students and families.
- Communicate with students and families on a regular basis to update them on progress.
- Facilitates activities and programs with students on the school site as needed.
- Train, or provide orientations to all new staff.
- Be able to present information to all stakeholders on the progress of the programs.
- Assist in identification of those students and families in need of prevention and counseling services. Utilize resource and referral services.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Washington State Educational Reform including Grade Level Expectations and required state assessments.
- Willing to travel and work flexible schedules with some evenings and weekends required.
- Follow all applicable Board Policies/Procedures and program requirements.

- Sense: The employee is required to talk/hear conversations and other sounds. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. The employee is required to taste and smell. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, far vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Lifting: The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and occasionally up to 26 lbs.; must also be able to lift overhead. The employee may be required to physically move quickly in an emergency or while performing student supervision duties.

- Physical Hazards: While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work outdoors in a wide variety of temperatures; from -10 degrees F to 100 degrees F +. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in this work environment is moderate.
